Bhangra Dance at the Yukon’s Lake Laberge

I use bhangra dance to build cross-cultural bridges in Canada. I feel that we, as people, are often surrounded by newsfeeds, which leave us divided. Dancing together brings everyone together. Ana has a European background, and I have a Sikh/Punjabi. By dancing together, we would like to convey the message that if we two, from entirely different backgrounds, can do things together, you can too. We, all people of the planet, belong to one human race.

In the video, Ana Rita and I danced Bhangra at the Yukon’s magnificent Lake Laberge to traditional Punjabi musical instruments.
