For people who really know winter, head north to Whitehorse, where residents have been celebrating winter since 1945, when Yukon Carnival Week was born. Nowadays the festival includes a selection of wacky entertainment in addition to the standard concerts and snow carving: you can enter contests for lip syncing, hair freezing, cross-dressing and, of course, beard growing.

With F.H. Collins Secondary School teachers Meera Sarin (right) and Mira Freiman (Left). Last week, F.H. Collins Secondary School in Whitehorse invited me for Bhangra workshops. It was an honour to teach young students and meet some great school teachers. Then autographs session followed and I felt very touched when students asked me to give autographs. I felt Yukon school students are intelligent and keen to learn new things. #fhcollins #school #whitehorse #yukon #education #teacher #teachers #students #student #bhangra #gurdeeppandher
It was an amazing experience to work in Air North video project. This video has become a top-viewed video in the Canadian regional airlines sector. Thanks to everyone who participated! It was a novelty.
It was a wonderful experience to perform at Special Olympics yesterday evening. It was also great to see local businesses and communities supporting Special Olympics Yukon Society. Thank you very much, Kristina Beckmann and Christie Harper, for dancing with me like a great bhangra team!
