‪Honoured to be at International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination Rally

It was an honour to share some words to mark “International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination” yesterday in Whitehorse, Yukon.

It was amazing to listen to other wonderful speakers like Lillian, Paul, Yvonne, Elder Smith, and Yukon Commissioner too.

It was also wonderful to see mayor of Whitehorse Dan Curtis, Minister John Streicker, Minister Jeanie Dendys, director of Yukon Human Rights Commission Jessica Lott Thompson, Councillor Jocelyn Curteanu, Councillor Roslyn Woodcock and many other friends joining in, braving the cold in such a heavy snowy day.

Thanks to Yukon Human Rights Commission, Yukon Federal of Labour, for organizing the rally.

Later, it was also a powerful moment to witness Yukon Legislative Assembly honouring “International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination”.

Thank you, all the members from Yukon NDP, Yukon Liberal Party, and Yukon Party, for sharing beautiful words to mark the day in the assembly.
