Katie Avery in Bhangra – The Dance of the Punjab

Katie Avery in Bhangra – The Dance of the Punjab

I am excited to announce that the well-known violinist and our friend Katie Avery will perform at our show “Bhangra – The Dance of the Punjab” on Dec 17 at the Old Fire Hall. Katie will be the part of the band known as Crooked Folk to bring the musical light to the Traditional Irish and Scottish Set Music with her violin so that we all can dance Punjabi Bhangra on it. Katie began violin lessons at the age of 4 at the Suzuki String School of Guelph, Ontario. She went to complete a bachelor of music at the University of Toronto in 2010. In 2012, she moved to Whitehorse to teach Suzuki violin. Thank you, Katie!
